Thanks for commenting. The "gold wash" term is the finish on the blade which does not show up well (does not show up at all) in these photos. the scales were made by dipping brass wool in clear resin. Luckily the brass wool does not poke through the resin like other metals do in layered...

Here is a finish which is similar to my "acid fallout finish" but I preserved the natural patina from heat treat. So I call it "flame fallout finish". I haven't seen it done anywhere else so I think I'm the first. What do you think? Thanks for your input.

Here is a finish which is similar to "fallout treatment" but I don't stone wash. So I call it "acid fallout finish". And please don't flame me for the MA-2 copy; it's just something I did for me. I think the acid fallout finish came out great on the MA-2.
