Lockbacks are more difficult to get right. the market is small like the slipjoint one. linerlocks are by far the most popular and the designs are not constrained as with the triditional slippies or lockbacks.

Stick with olive oil for clean blades after quench. I prefer using the body quench but they say its against the law now.

Hey Tracy, look at our grinding video. We use aluminum channel piece 2 or 3 alignment pins, Angle adjustment screw, and guide lines. Cheap and easy to build , all you need is a flat rest in front of the grinder to move the jig on.

I've made tons of picks from a half of a horse shoe. It looks cool and anyone who rides can always carry a hoof pick.

After getting my putor wipped twice I still had problems. New computor works better and I'm back up. 2guns
