CPM-154 Chopper with Blue Kirinite MOP scales.

Nice chopper Laurence. Quick question if I may, did you put the holes in before or after heat treat? If before, was there any fear or warpage due to the holes or isnt it really a concern?

    Electrical question

If you get power strips with breakers and the breakers are equivalent to what the outlet/circuit they are plugged into can handle then it should actually be safer because the breaker on the strip should kick before overheating the wires in the wall and having the breaker/fuse on the box kick...

    Help with Taps and tapping!

    Help with Taps and tapping!

You will still want to hand tap but especially for fine threads you need a guide to make sure its going in straight. They have small hand tapping guides but they are pretty spendy. If you have a drill press the easiest thing to do is get a tap handle with a guide. Looks like this... The guide...

    plasma cam

I can see it being worth it if you produce enough knives to warrant the cost. Ive heard you can get waterjet cutting done for about $4 a blank so at that rate the plasmacam would need to run about 1750 blankes through it to pay for itself.

    Keeping up the fight

Slow and steady wins the race Frank! You dont want to lose more than a couple pounds a week anyway. I would caution against changing too many things at once, it can become overwhelming and hard to keep up. We are talking life changes in eating and exercise and honestly most people cant keep up...
