Hope you heal up fast, Cameron! I severed my ulnar nerve at my wrist when I was a teenager (with a Buck 119 and youthful indiscretion). A good surgeon and some rehab will have you back in the shop soon enough. At least the knife turned out beautifully!
I only wish it were silly. It is abhorently dangerous for any population to give up essential liberty for perceived security. Stay with it, Liam. Show those around you that making Man's oldest tool is a most respectable endeavor.

I had to stop using tape directly on non-stainless blades. It would always leave little etched marks on my blades. I now wrap my blades in plastic wrap and then tape them.
The knife and sheath look great, Ben! But I have to agree with Laurence about the background.
