I make a few and I also use blanks, it all depends on the order and how much the customer wants to spend.

Are you dipping the sheaths in the Neatsfoot oil? I've been warming up the oil and then dipping the sheath..

I'm looking for some feedback and opinions on types of leather finish. Currently, I am using 100% Pure Neatsfoot Oil and Saddle Butter and I am happy with the results, just curious if there is something out there that might be better... What do you like to use for finishing your leather...

Thanks guys! Laurence - The Pine Cone material is different to work with. It seems to be soft and flexible when you handle it, but it really has some durability to it! It does cut and grind without any problems and it polishes up really well. I actually went with a Tru-Oil finish on both...

Thank you for the complements! I generally use Tru-Oil on my handles, it takes more time but I really like the results.

Finished this one today too. The handle is Stabilized Maple Burl that has been dyed black. Cory

Here are a couple of pictures of a pair of Damascus knives that were finished up today. The handle material is pine cone and the Damascus is from Alabama Damascus. Cory
