    Thanks, but I didn't forge the mosic IN GOD WE TRUST, Hugh bartrug did it in 1994. I used it to end off this knife since it was my first attempt in forgeing damascus and he was my teacher.

    I put a sewn in welt ( I think thats what its called), like on the cutting edge side, doing this there's not been any problem..and thank you....Dave
