    Klompen are great! Cool in summer, warm in the winter and your feet do not feel tired. Wear them, you will like them after a while.

    Will flywheel press work for forging Damascus with pictures

    I was told it is very unsafe to use a flywheelpress as a hammer, too much pressure on the machine and it might break, crack or explode. Be very careful and ask someone who knows.

    I think if you have it stabilized it will improve on contrast. First time I saw the block I wasn't too excited but after buffing it is as nice as a good piece of desert ironwood burl. Get it stabilized. be careful with the house..... Thank you all for your nice comments!

    The damascus is made from O2 and 15n20. The small integral is from Don Hanson's W2, water hardened and etched in hot vinegar.:)

    Mark the tang on the side of your block and put it in a drillvice, adjust so the lines are square to the vise and drill one side.
