    thumb traction?

I use a checkering file for most of my jimping. I sometimes use a chainsaw file for round cuts though. Hardest part it getting them even. I usualy make them out with a set of calipers to get them started.

    Smaller chainring bolts

I spoke with a guy on another forum that uses them and he said that he got them from a dude in Canada who used to work on school buses, he said they were for the windshield? they look just like a .250 folder pivot with one end open that takes a flat head spanner wrench. Any one else?

    Smaller chainring bolts

I'm looking for a bolt that looks exactly like a chainring bolt but only half the size around .250 most chainrings are prob .400-.5. I have scoured the interwebz looking at sexbolts(lol), binding bolts, and Chicago screws with no luck. It seems that ones I'm looking for use a 8-36 Todd screw on...

    Mirror Polished Blades?

Maybe I'm missing something? but how are you getting a polished finish without first hand rubbing out all of the scratches then polishing? I really dont like polishing just for the fact that I can see scratches and it bugs the crap out of me:)

saw teeth on a knife spine

I like how they turned out, it was allot of work though. I have a few saws laying around that I looked at and figured if I made the tines like a saw then it should work like a saw. Usually you have a problem with a knife having a saw back, in that it will only cut to the depth of the tines and...

saw teeth on a knife spine

I did some on a huge blade for a guy the other day, it was a pain in the a$$. I dont have a mill so I took my 4.5" grinder and cucked up a cuttoff wheel in it, then I clamped it into my vice horizontaly. I then cut each tooth at about a 10-15 deg angle. after I got done with that I used a...

    Titanium - Material questions

I'm fairly new to titanium but so far I've found it to be kinda strange. It drills like magnesium and grinds like crap:) the band saw will cut it just fine. I usualy cut my handles and blades out with a 4.5" grinder titanium doesn't cut very well but it works. When you grind it on the...

    Teach me about reamers

I would also like to one this too. I would love to find a pre-drill chart for reaming. I have been drilling my pivot holes about .005 under and then reaming to size.
