All done and sharpened to a hair splitting edge. Today I did some final shaping, polish and sharpen. Turned out rather good I think :D Kind of wish I had some flitz to hand polish and carnuba wax to seal it (next time)

I prefer to develop the skill without a jig but I can see where one would help with a recurve grind, something I tend to fiddle around with.

Hoping somebody could clear this up for me. I want to make a bevel guide something like this one. I can see how it would make a clean grind on a long straight edge but how does it follow edges that arent straight ? Like the example blade in the picture. It doesn't quite make sense to me.
