Mammoth tooth handles! Where do you guys find this stuff? Wade uses Everglade Reindeer antler and you have a mammoth tooth! I need to get out of my cage once in a while and explore for some unique handle material....BTW, Superb blade!

I was going to ask if you had any rugrats. Found mine after a week in my daughter's bicycle basket.... full of tulip photos. They are pretty nice photos. Any more thoughts on a handle material?

I think that I am going to use rawhide on the handles, or rawhide over wood. Anyone have any suggestions? Just remember, you might be the one who gets it.:wink:

Where do you find 9% vinegar? I've been looking for pickling vinegar which is 7% but no one in my little burg carries it. All I can find is Heinz 5%.

I have finished the blade to 220 grit. About four hours of sanding, give or take. My three year old loves driving Daddy insane by taking her sidewalk chalk to the next level...highway chalk. She knows she is not allowed in the street but.... Anyways here are some picts. Next step, Heat...

OK, I left the worlds problems behind today and finished draw filing the KITH I am working on. Now I will go through several grits of wet&dry paper to probably 400 grit. We'll see what paper I have left(CFO says I have to cease my "profligate" spending!) I still have no idea about a handle...

Are the heads pretty secure on that type of hawk Wade? Anyways it is a great hawk!
