anyone out there made a micarta sheath? photos please for added pleasure or point me to any earlier threads if any im enjoying making micarta handles and now want to procced into match sheath

just got to layer black orange black and so on about 15 pieces of each colour, nail one end on to a piece of 2x2 then epoxy every second piece then a vise grip at other end and twist then clamp wood on top.........simple method and it woods a treat

this is my latest..........a used knife but one day i'll make one, this has brass liner round handle made from orange and black cotton bedsheet material, wet sanded to 800 grit then clear lacquered..........with leftover micarta i made some rings

lolz, im in new zealand, a bit far apart i think, prisonbreak is just a nickname given to me from workmates, just could be coming over soon for a holiday to WV

picked up a steak knife for my partner, took off wooden handle, picked up hot pink fabric from craft shop, had black left over from previous projects, scollop out a ditch in some wood, cut strips of fabric, nail one end, epoxy every second piece, when that was done, held the non nailed end and...

been looking and reading about file work along the spine............vine filing, rope work, arrowhead etc....................just wondering what do you guys use to fill in the void after knife is finished to make it all smooth, do you use super glue or what? or dont you bother?

im a newbie as you may know.........this is my second blank, just gotta cut along black lines and hope for the best, then dive into it, going to have micarta scales i think at this stage, but may change to a wooden handle. Any feedback be appricated.My first blank is still in process as in...

i want to know is there an alternative to the wheels used on these grinders apart from brought from suppliers or what comes with the pre made machines, are the bearings pressed in, 1/2" or 3/4"shafts, what diameter wheels are best. 2hp motor, what rpm are best etc etc

clamp your material between two thicker bits of steel, like 1/4 to 3/8" and drill all the way through
